Anne creates what she calls ArModa (short for "Art Music Meets Modern Dance") which brings together two loves: dance and cello.

“Passionate, fascinating, and totally convincing. The world needs more people taking on this kind of artistic challenge, and making it work so well.”
~ John Kavanagh,
performing artist

Since beginning this work in Vancouver in 2003, Anne has created over a dozen such pieces, collaborating with choreographers and musicians across Canada. July, 2007 marked the premiere her full-length, one-woman show in Ottawa called Outside the Music Box; later that same year, she performed Merging, in New York, NY at the Stella Adler School. Since moving to Nova Scotia in the fall of 2007, she has danced in the Kinetic Studio series, in Upstream Music concerts and led a guerilla improv group called Grasshoppa Exchange built on the work of Maureen Shea. She is currently working on her latest ArModa piece, My Undoing, and wishes to thank the Canada Council for its generous support with this project.
